2025 Summer Camp
Registration
Registration for the 2025 Summer Camp Program begins mid-February 2025 for currently enrolled students. It opens to the public on March 3, 2025.
Summer Camp Fun!
CCEP Summer Camp offers 8 weeks of summer of fun in the sun! CCEP Summer Camp offers more than just a place for children to play during the summer months. It offers an extension of our school-year program.
Year round, we educate young children through inquiry, discovery, and investigation. This summer, teachers will provide invitations for children to learn about a variety of science topics such as the water cycle, the life cycle of a plant, habitats, building, animals, bugs, and birds. Each invitation is hidden in a nature walk, a game, a craft, or a story.
We maintain a strong sense of community through the summer by keeping small, weekly cohorts for students with consistent teachers and friends. Each cohort will have no more than 12 rising nursery students, 16 rising primary, 20 pre K and K campers with a minimum of 3 teachers. The faces that greet you on Monday are the ones you’ll learn with all week.
As a year-round, provider of early childhood education, we are experts in nurturing and honoring young children. We offer plenty of time for free play and exploration of our 22 beautiful acres consisting of multiple playgrounds, outdoor classrooms, the Walnut Groves, our circle “racetrack,” our labyrinth, nature trails, butterfly garden, birdhouse, and a bee pollination garden. We pair that with time for guided learning and discovery by our certified classroom teachers. Surrounding all of that play and learning is careful attention to teaching and modeling kindness, patience, manners, inclusivity, service, and generosity to our campers.

Day to Day Activities
Nature and Science
Students cultivate our gardens, explore the flora and fauna of our 22-acre campus, go on scavenger hunts to find specific items on a list, and spend lots of time exploring and experimenting with many natural materials.
Art
Students draw, paint, create collages, use chalk, and craft with friends using natural objects found while exploring.
Free Play
Enjoying playground time, imaginative play, dress up, housekeeping, building blocks and art activities are an important part of the summer experience.
Outdoor Sports
Activities include frisbee, basketball, soccer, kickball, freeze tag, scooters, and so much more!
water play
Each day all campers will engage is free water play. Not only is water play a fun way to cool off, but it provides tons of opportunities for scientific thinking and discovery.
Rest
For campers that spend the afternoon, an afternoon rest or quiet time is provided. Our younger campers will rest and our older campers will have quiet time to rest their bodies and read or play a quiet, individual game.
Lunch & Snacks
All food is provided and included in your weekly camp tuition. Our food coordinator, Nancy Freeborn, will extend our school-year food program through the summer! The menu will feature summer fruits, veggies, healthy snacks, and delicious lunches. We will, of course, keep Pizza Mondays!
